Merging into the beauty of Art

S A M A V E S H A is the sanskrit word for divine union, perfect merging of consciousness. The word holds a double meaning/power: to immerse yourself in something and already to be immersed in it.

SAMAVESHA is the result of many years of experience in multiple forms of Art and performance around the world. The performers and the audience itself are encouraged to discover and express that which is sacred in Art, with the humble authenticity that we all hold inside ourselves and that we are all part of.

SAMAVESHA productions involve all sorts of artists and performers from around the globe. The concept of SAMAVESHA is to unite in one time and space different art expressions and to create an occasion for both performer and audience to immerse themselves in that which is being created.

The minimum number of Art forms invoked in a typical performance are three, as we believe experience is best elicited by reaching out through as many of the senses and sense gates as possible. In this experientially-based expression of Art, the classical definition of Art form is extended beyond music, dance performance, visual art... to include expressions such as food, costumes, sacred adornments, craftsmanship or even everyday actions.
